Merjent is utilized by the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission (FERC) and other
regulatory agencies to provide third-party contractor services for the preparation
of Environmental Impact Statements (EIS) and other regulatory documentation. At
Merjent, we believe the key to preparing a top-quality, defensible
EIS is to dedicate experienced staff to the project. We are confident that our staff’s
experience working with the FERC as a third-party contractor and our staff’s experience

A key to our third-party consultant services is our understanding of the pubic scoping
and environmental review processes, what information is required and relevant for
preparation of an EIS, and the mechanisms required to inform stakeholders during
the FERC Pre-filing Process. Our resource specialists are able to quickly and
efficiently assess the environmental data provided by the project sponsor,
identify additional data needs (if any), understand the issues raised by stakeholders,
evaluate construction mitigation plans, and prepare the EIS and supporting documents.
